From 1900 when golf became an Olympic sport in Paris Olympic Games to 1908 when it was cancelled in London Olympic Games, golf has become one of the most commercialized sporting events after a hundred years of development. In October 2009, the 121st PLENARY session of the INTERNATIONAL Olympic Committee voted to make golf an Olympic sport in Rio de Janeiro 2016. In recent years, with the re-entry of golf into the Olympic Games, the development of world golf has entered a new chapter.
The 2020 Tokyo Olympic Golf event will be held at kasumigaseki Country Club, which has a history of more than 80 years and is located in the lush musashino hills of Saitama Prefecture. Compared to the 2016 Rio Olympics, the current squad is more luxurious, including 60 top players from many countries and regions.
